My blessings are countless. My Heavenly Father (God) has always been good to me amidst both trials and triumphs. However, I often get caught only seeking to understand what is wrong with me and/or my life. In an effort to change, I am starting this blog. I love to get on the computer and know that now, each time I do, I will be reminded of my desire to see how He is blessing me. I hope that as you read, you will be inspired to do the same.

The Old Man Picking at His Ice
A few days ago I drove by an old man picking at the ice that lay on the street in front of his house. It made me smile. He seemed like a sweet old man. Today I saw the same old man at it again. I'm not quite sure why this made me so happy. It may be that January is the most difficult "bitter cold month" of the year for me. The sun doesn't come out much. The roads are layered with ice and snow. Everything seems a bit gloomier. But it didn't seem to phase this old man. I think that is probably why it made me smile. He was my moment of sunshine on a dark and cold day. So today, I am grateful for the people who bring sunshine into my life; those who see that they do and those that don't.
